Compilation concept:

Ritmo has compiled an audible pleasure including nine powerful dance tracks.

As usual you can expect a qualitatively ambitious mixture of different styles. Bringing together all forms of modern progressive tunes, from the minimal sounds of Kaempfer and Dietze (side project of Protonica) and Mute's very innovative Remix of Ritmo's 'Blue Connection' up to Danish dynamite TimeDrained, pleasing you with a 12 minute deep Scandinavian trance opus, this compilation combines elements of progressive trance and house into something that could be called major progressive sound of 2008.

Next to other well known names on this compilation like Grandmasters Krueger and Coyle, Sonic Cube and Solano we would like to direct your attention on some interesting constellations like the new project 'Shimmer Amount' which is recently formed by one of the Iono label heads Cubixx together with Nizzel (Ski Fi / Ix Lam At) who has been playing a dominant role in the Mexican trance scene for many years now. Beside that you will listen to artists like Temptation, the Brazilian 'trance big band', who are already famous for their rocking live acts as well as the Greece duo Fat Data, offering you funky and pumping trance vibes in a very individual and most effective form.

With that multi-compatible selection of sounds 'Grand Slam' will find its way into the ears of every real electronic dance music addict.

Artist biogrpahy:

Ritmo project is solo band of Dubi Dagan (30),
lives in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Dubi joined the scene at 1998 when he was traveling the world,
discoveringmany kinds of Trance parties and Trance people from
various countries like Japan, U.S.A, India and more.

Since 2003 until august 2005 Dubi took main part in Bionics Records as an office manger and PR of the label and worked with the label on its most famous party line in the Luna Club every Thursday as a residential DJ.

From January 2005 Dubi started to work on Ritmo project with another guy call: Eitan Morgenstern and together they released few tracks in various labels.

In june 2006 Dubi decided to move to Tel-Aviv and started work in a famous post production and dubbing studios call: "Dubi Dub" (Tedy productions) as a sound editor and continue work on music for "Ritmo" project alone.

Iono Music is proudly announcing the debut Album of Dubi Dagan aka Ritmo.

Dubi has been playing a leading role in the Israeli trance scene for many years now. Next to his involvement as resident DJ at famous Luna Club in Haifa he also used to bear an executive position at Bionic Records.

After many remarkable releases at Labels like Midijum, Magma, Y.S.E and Iono Music it was only a question of time for him to present his debut album. Disharmonic Silence comes along as a mature production work, showing Ritmo's special penchants for a crystal clear and crisp sound and proving his patience for pedantic detail work in sophisticated arrangements.

After he has shown you his various musical taste by compiling Iono's latest track collection on 'Grand Slam', he is now ready to delight you with 9 tracks of his very own progressive trance style, which is comprising deep driving basslines, escorted by warm, never persisting melodies and surrounded by atmospheres which only can be created with long lasting experiences and excellent skills.

This exceptional debut work also includes remixes of Vibrasphere's 'Wasteland', Aerospace's 'Free Fall' and a cooperation with his friend Alon Brilant aka Suntree.

Tor.Ma Musician, producer and D.J. his musical history begins at the age of 15 when he started playing drums in several rock bands, also he start to now the basics of other instruments like bass and guitars, and at this time he was wrinting some songs. when he was 18 years old, he went to his first electronic party, this event was the gate to the psytrance scene, first collecting albums and after a while he started trying whit the turntables making the dance floor rock and the people happy. after more than 2 years like a D.J. he decided to move to the next step, to the production of his own tracks under the name of "Factor Mazorca" (Corn Factor) making an old skool goa style with fusions of ethnic mexican music. With the time he pulished his style, making it more fresh and with new sounds, psytrance between progg and full, that evolution make him to change the name of his project to Tor.Ma (fac TOR.MA zorca) and in this time, besides psytrance, he makes other style like psy-dub-chill-downtempo. With this project he has played in several states of mexico sharing the stage with great mexican and international artists. his dub act is like a old skool roots dub with a psychedelic pinch, and his progressive act is a pumping floor filler with a touch of electro feel//////// he is manager of the crew Acid Reiki and is part of the german label Iono music and the mexican label Catalyst Recs

Just in time and right before the summer season will be in full swing, Iono is tempting you to the progressive trance floors of international open air gatherings.

Nobody less than French Iono DJ Drenan has picked nine quality tracks for you, each of them is provided with all necessary elements like deep and straight baselines combined with roaring open air sounds and atmospheric leads. DJ Drenan is an old stager in the global trance community. Starting his DJ career at the beginning of the new millennium, he has been playing his DJsets and live acts on all major Festivals like Voov Experience, Full Moon, Tsihtraka, N.o.m.a.d, Maitreya and many more. Together with his friend Sensifeel he is also producing his own special progressive style. Well known as 'Cyklones' they already released a very successful debut album at Milenium Records in 2006.

With his undisputable music taste and confident feeling to bring the right sound to the right time, he has collected some outstanding tracks from Iono artists like German trance-masters Klopfgeister, the fresh Danish trance project 'Time in Motion' or Swiss artist Badbug - to mention 2 of Iono's most hopeful artists of this year.

Next to those names Dj Drenan has chosen a track from Phaxe who already joins the Iono family since 2007 and had formidable responses for his tracks on Iono compilations like 'Blue Banquet' and 'Beat Generation'. Without any doubt, he is one of the acts to watch out for in the future.

Further more this compilation includes a track of Davina, who is better known as one part of the legendary duo Sirius Isness, presenting an extract of her upcoming album which is going to be released at Wreked Records, USA.

Last but not least you will also listen to a fresh productions made by Israeli MUTe who give you an idea of their upcoming, long awaited album, announced as one of Iono's top releases in 2008.
